Little Brown Bat Taking a Break

With the threat of White Nose Syndrome still looming, this Summer we are glad to see our bats return to our back yard bat house located on our shed. About every 7 to 10 days we have 2 to 3 bats that stay in our bat house, spending anywhere from 2 to 4 days.

Once they have basically eaten the mosquito population around our back yard they move on and then make their way back to our area. Here we see one little brown bat snoozing close to the entrance of the bat house. It let us take a few pictures before it made its way back up into the darkness with its partners.
